Paper io turns a blank grid into a shared land grab. You exit your safe zone, draw a perimeter, and re-enter to claim that ring as new territory. The only danger period is the exposed line while drawing; anyone touching it wipes you instantly. This paper io rule makes every outward move a bet. Players expand, slice, invade and counter-wrap each other in real time, so positioning and patience matter more than speed. A match can flip on a single long loop or collapse on one sloppy turn. It is pure push-your-luck geometry with permanent consequences.

Paper io compresses multiplayer competition into a brisk territory race. You own only what you have enclosed. To grow, you must leave safety, draw live outline, and return before interception. Rivals patrol for exposed trails and punish hesitation. There are no power-ups or hidden layers, so the only lever is decision timing: expand wide for big jumps, or trim edges for low-risk creep. The map is communal, zero-sum and constantly re-written, so survival and growth are the same problem. Minimal rules yield sharp depth: one line changes everything, one contact ends everything.
